All stations go

31 October 2014

The arrival of the container in the Paddock yesterday prompted the team into action early this morning. It was all hands on deck to set up the area and get everyone's bikes reassembled after shipping.

Mounting tyres and mousses was high on the agenda and tyre levers and mousse changers were in high demand.

Registration was around lunchtime and the 31 rider contingent filed through the secretariat without issue. All Six Day bikes need to be registered and have insurance to cover them for the transport stages of the event that sees riders using public roads during some points of the competition.

Once registered and after final adjustments were made, it was off to the test track for a quick ride to ensure everything was good to go. Being off their bikes for nearly a week riders were keen to get back in the saddle and actually do what they are here for - riding!

Tomorrow the riders will undergo sound testing, scrutineering and impounding of the bikes into the Parc Ferme until Monday morning, when day one will begin a big week of action.
